What LED light to buy?

I read the blog on the Fero LED light experiment and have a couple questions, if I may.

I am quite new growing. My current situation: I am using two 24″ SunBlaster flourescents for 4 plants about 3 weeks old (4-5 inches high and wide). My room is 7′ x 6.5′ with a slanted ceiling (lowest is 3.5′, highest 7′). I am using just a small corner with four 2 gallon pots in a square (2×2)formation. Walls are white.

So, I am beginning to understand that the flourescents are good for veg, but not for flowering so I have been looking at maybe a 250w HPS. I have also been looking into LED. I noticed you were experimenting with the Fero 360 4G … I was considering the 180 4G, but concerned that might still not be enough for my 4 plants. Do you have any advice on that? Would that compare to a 250w HID? Should the plants be sectioned off in their corner to contain more focussed light? Currently I have my flourescent’s just a couple cm’s above the plant … are LED’s different … do they need to be close to the plant?

Sorry if that is too many questions … just need some advise because the LED’s are not cheep!
